This vehicle had been painted in a not-so-professional manner. (I'm being polite). My job on this gorgeous Classic was to correct the paint as much as possible to ready it for an auction. Orange Peel is a term used to describe the surface of the paint. Rather than being smooth and reflective, see how it is bumpy and resembles the surface of an orange? Hence the term Orange Peel. I used a combination of some special compounding pads designed to reduce the appearance of the Orange Peel as well as wet sanding the paint as well.
