This car was purchased to be sold. It was REALLY rough on the inside and the paint was so oxidized that I had my doubts as to what I would be able to do with it. After many long hours, I was able to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. Please see the before and after pics as well as the write up describing the work: http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/show-n-shine/91059-rescued-hell-1969-corvette-convertible.html Here we are afterward:

I know this car. It literally sat outside for 6 YEARS! The owner built a house, got sick and died. The car sat.

The purchase of this Corvette was grounds for divorce. Not only did it look terrible, the smell when it was started up permeated our whole house. When it was returned from the detailer I hardly recognized it. It looked like it had been repainted. I would never have thought the paint could have been saved. The shabby interior is restored as well. Kudos to the hard work and good products used to transform this car.
